Aerovox 4617-P/D83W4015M 15UF 400 Volt (V) dry film, metal Halide, HID lighting capacitor, commonly used for 200 Watt (W) Pulse Start Metal Halide fixtures and works with M-138 bulbs, and constant wattage autotransformer circuit type ballast. The case is 1.75" diameter and 2.9" tall with a maximum temperature rating of 100C. No PCB’s rated for 100c, +-3%. There is a 1.58 internal resistor that dissipates charges to less than 50V in 60 seconds when DE energized. This device is not protected against short circuit, capacitors do deteriorate, stop replacing ballast kits if the transformer is good. The average life of a capacitor is 60,000 hours.
